http://www.squadselectseries.comFrame 2 of TWF saw the axis put all their pilots both strike and fighters in the latest 190s. This proved a tough combination for the Allies to deal with as most of the action was at low level where the 190s excel. Allied bombers continued to close fields regardless of the butcherbirds but the new German a/c proved equally adept at strafing and bombing targets on the ground. Losses were high for both sides with the Axis losing 32 190s to the allied mix-bag of 53.
Each side closed the exact same number of fields, 1 GAF, 1 arty and 7 outpost so the frontline remains in a stalemate.
Allies did better attacking shipping while the axis did better against enemy armour. The axis took the lead in the series mainly because of their advantage in tanks and e/a shot down during the frame.
Frame Score was 99.85 for the axis and 76.95 for the allies. Axis take the lead 173.45 to 150.75. See the summary PDF on the mainpage for more details to how and what was scored in the frame.
Axis have used up most of their 190s while the Allies are still holding onto their B17s. So the next three frames should be interesting.
Good Luck and start planning.
