We have a saying

DO NOT ever ever ever fly over the ship.......NO NOT EVER
yet we still do it once in a while and pay the price because the bubble is so frickin large.
(I didnt see your video....at work here)

Same here. I am off to the right side of the ship and my wing came off as I was rolling away because I clipped the bubble. It sticks way out there.

It was explained to me that the mast was being tossed about in the 30' seas.

This situation as been around a long time. Until it is fixed I guess the above is how you have to look at it.

I always find that I can strafe a ship till I hit D2, then make a hard turn towards the stern and don't hit the ship.

the hit boxes have been examined. They seem to all be in place. The only thing I can possibly see is that as you get close they kinda do this little side to side shuffle as they sail along. left to right, right to left, left to right, right to left. Couple of us went into the Ta to observe ship movement, that's what we saw as we hovered near it in cmeye mode.
If I knew how to post a screenshot I'd show you a pic of a ship with all the hitboxes on it, of which none stick out past any of the artwork. so, its not a "bubble" but more than likely a combination of lag and also ship movement.

The hit boxes look good to me, so I will accept that. Even tho my vid clearly shows me above the hit box at the time of my wing coming off. If indeed the ship is shifting side to side (and I have seen this in the TA), then it needs to be setup to where you can actually see the ship shifting and thus avoid a collision, or remove the shift altogether. Being a veteran sailor of the USN, and having rode out many storms underway on a small ATS class salvage ship, I have never seen a ship slip side to side as it does in WarBirds with weather effects. A roll is just that, the hull maintains its position. If there is any lateral movement of the hull it is always in one direction, and that is the direction that the waves are carrying it. That movement is countered by adjusting course at a diagonal into the waves. I may as well add, that if the waves are flowing in any direction then the wind also is flowing the same direction, perhaps the flaw could be that the wind and waves are flowing in different directions in WB's causing the unusual shift. I would suggest that such effects be removed from the S3 until such a time that they are perfected. Lastly, Frame 3 had no weather effects, so there should have been no shifting anyway.
