Numbers were much more even this frame.

SBD's led the destruction with 67 targets destroyed (including a boat). While they were hitting land targets, TBD's were hunting on the water. They destroyed a IJN Carrier and 8 other boats. IJA Betties were also busy with 50 targets destroyed. Losses were high for both Betties and TBD's.

On the fighter side, both Zeroes and Wildcats destroyed 59 targets, which included 12 boats for the IJ and 4 for the US. F4f's still had better kill ratios going 32 kills for 17 losses.

I don't think I should be considered the top surviving buff. I only destroyed 14 enemy ground targets. The other 14 targets were from pruning trees around the runway at F53.

Same here as jlordj stated. 11 of those ground targets that I received credit for were trees at f-53. The trees have turned out to be quite deadly. They were cleared with no complaints from the local population.

LOL! I KNEW it! When I saw Ch 112 showing trees at 53 dying, I said on comms "I betcha they're sitting on the ground shooting up the trees lining the runway so they're not a hazard."

btw...the deforestation of the Easter Islands caused the native society there to collapse, just saying... :geek: :D

We had chainsaws. Really. Actually, they took the chainsaws and I only had an ax. Got 6.

LOL, I might just have to purge all tree deaths from the log.
