Allied bombers attacked the railyard at Le Touquet. Initially five bombers escorted by two fighters, but a DISCO no damage force one of the buff pilots to re-up in a P-47. P-47s provided close escort. First attack seriously damaged, but failed to close F78. Had five bombers been available as originally intended, the field may have been closed in a single pass. LW fighters scored some successes, but were badly mauled by the defensive fire of the relatively tight knit bomber formations. Second bomber mission destroyed the last three objects left standing at F78 and closed the field.
