Apologies for late post. RL has gotten in the way.

Frame start 2030hrs EST, Sunday 16 January 2022
Log in early!

GENSIT: After months of preparations, the Red Army has started its attack across the Perekop isthmus and the bridges over the Sivash. German troops are attempting to block both thrusts from their well fortified positions. Additional flak batteries have been brought up to improve anti-air defenses, as well has provide a little extra anti-tank punch. Panzer units are ready to face off against the advancing Soviet hordes.

Axis(LW) – Gold
Allied (VVS) - Red

Side assignments (see series info post) - TBC. RCAF and 13 VRAF should be returning to the Soviet side. If axis numbers are low, RCAF will go LW. If really low, 13 VRAF as well. All 352nd will stay Soviet.
Comms - Axis should share the 4th FG channel on the iEN TeamSpeak server. Soviets should share the 352nd's channel.

Terrain – Crimea. Fields not tactically relevant to a frame will be set neutral or hidden. Airfield 181 will be set purple for initial arena log in.
Weather – clear.
Time - 0630hrs local time
Radar – 5 miles, min altitude 10 feet.
Max Flak Alt – 30,000ft

Objectives:
LW – Destroy Soviet ground troops before they can overwhelm axis ground defenses. Destroying the bridges over the Sivash may slow the Soviet advance in the east.
VVS – Attack Axis troop positions and fortifications to assist ground troops with their assault. Prevent the LW from attacking our troops.
Download inflight map here.

Forces:
The Soviets have a seemingly endless stream of armour and mechanized infantry advancing into Crimea. At least two columns are attacking Perekop and in the east troops are crossing both bridges across the Sivash to encircle the defenders. Trenches and wire are spread across the airfield at Perekop (F222) to incorporate it into the defense works. The same is true for the landing strip F6 which was also incorporated into the defensive works. The Wehrmacht defenders are well entrenched, but have no reinforcements.
If Soviet troops overrun any fields, they will be captured.

Plane Set. Same as the last frame. Strike aircraft (Il-2, Ju-87D-5, Ju87G-2) will have 1 AI wingman and the bomber login will be available.
VVS – Il-2, P-39Q, La-5F, Yak-9D
LW – Bf109G-6, Bf-109G6/RVI, Fw-190F-8, Ju-87D-5. Ju-87G-2

Aircraft availability:
F251, F254 - P-39Q, Il-2, La-5F, Yak-9D
F233, F255 - Fw 190F-8, Ju-87D-5, Ju-87G-2, Bf 109G-6, Bf-109G6/RVI (these are considered THE SAME aircraft type for this frame)

Pilot Lives. Each pilot has three lives. Two of these lives may be flown in strike aircraft (Il-2, Ju-87D-5, Ju87G-2), otherwise only one life in each aircraft type. Pilots may fly a maximum of three aircraft types. KIA, bail or ditch in an aircraft type results in loss of access to that type. Pilots may re-fly the same aircraft type if they have not lost a life in that aircraft (e.g. sortie in a La-5F, fly Yak-9D – crash, re-up La-5F).

Teleporting between fields is not permitted except after a pilot loss of life.

The arena may be open for practice on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately I am still using it to try to de-bug some of the AI routines.

Open for questions, comments. As always, the Janitors reserve the right to adjust/interpret rules as needed.

The bridges over the Sivash are too heavily mined for the Soviets to use (read as the bloody AI won't use them). Troops are across the Sivash south of Arty 151 and the Black Sea Flotilla is supporting an amphibious assault just east of F6.
