Light turnouts again.
21 Allied and 11 Axis pilots took to the air.
Allies flew a bit smarter, and still brought the bombs. Significant movement of the front up the east side of the Combat Zone. Axis still dominated air-to-air.
Allied buffs and fighter bombers closed Fort F113, Village F114, HQ F116 and Village F118. All of these linked back to an Allied supply point, so are ruled captured at the end of the frame. Allies did not keep HQ F138 isolated, so it will be open at the start of Frame 3.
While it took them almost the entire frame, Axis closed and captured F120, pushing the front south a bit in the centre.
For field CLOSURES, CAPTURES and destruction of critical infrastructure, Allied scored 78.25 VPs (marginally better than Frame 1) and the Axis scored 18 VPs.
------------
Edit/Addendum - With F113 in Allied hands, Village F112 and HQ F111 are "out of supply"
--------------
Axis airframe losses were slightly higher than in frame 1, losing 15 fighters and 1 Ju87 to all causes.
Allied airframe losses were much lower than in frame 1, but still significant with 37 fighters and 9 B-25s failing to return.
Allies lost 39 pilots KIA/POW and the Axis only 17.
After careful consideration, points awarded for pilots KIA/POW has been reduced from 2 to 1 for balance. This will also affect frame 1 scoring totals.
Revised Frame 1 Scoring
Allied........98.00 VPs
Axis........158.00 VPs
Major Axis Victory
Frame 2 Scoring
Allied......126.25 VPs
Axis........141.00 VPs

Axis leads the series 299 to 224.25.
