Frame 1 Nov 15 Frame 2 Nov 22 Off for Thanksgiving Nov 29 Frame 3 Dec 6 Frame 4 Dec 13 Frame 5 Dec 20 The North Sea. It's 600 miles long and 360 miles wide. Not as cold as the Norwegian Sea, it's cold enough. In winter Atlantic gales bring low ceilings and choppy seas. Heavy fogs and mist dominate in spring. Downed aircrew or stranded sailors had little chance of survival. Summer brings fairer weather and the hope of being rescued, but a man alone in the water has little chance of being found. The North Sea has been a battle ground for many wars throughout history. From the Roman Empire, to the Vikings, the 17th century's Ango-Dutch wars, the 19th century's Schleshwig wars, the Crimean war and the Franco-Prussian war all the way to the Great World Wars of the 20th Century. The North Sea is a graveyard for hundreds of military and civilian vessels and aircraft. Squad Select Series #121 The North Sea will focus on several aerial battles over and around the North Sea Terrain during the span of 1939-1944. This S3 will focus on historical battles but also throw in a few 'what-if' scenarios. Watch for Luftwaffe attacks on the British Home Fleet, The Pride of the Kreigsmarine, the battleship Bismark, the Battle of Britain, The flight of the Memphis Belle, and Big Week! Please note that while this terrain has highly detailed fields and installations, the map is incomplete therefore there will be no ground attacks in the far Eastern side of the map. Muzz will try to take a crack at updated a field or two, but says "don't hold your breath!" Salute nookyb

I see the aircraft table is up. Questions: Hurricane Mk1, not the Mk1a? 109E, no variant mentioned, 109E-1? <S> |

I dont see a Hurricane Mk1a available in Warbirds.... I see a Hurricane 1 and a Hurricane 1 *87 oct The E-1 would be the variant for 1939. (frame 1) Frame 2 would get the E-3 and E-4 variants Frame 3 1941 should get the F models and the new FW190. Frame 4 1943 Frame 5 1944 robert is working on specifics... |

We are working on an update to the northsea terrain to populate several of the fields east and north east of the 9,3 cross. Unfortunately, iEN is having some technical challenges with their Mac updater which is delaying things a bit. Hopefully the updated terrain files will be published before frame 1. Anticipate a mandatory update if things get sorted out. If it doesn't happen, fewer airfields for the LW and fewer Port targets for the RAF. Doing out best. Cheers. |
