S3#114 - Furball-O-Rama - Frame 1 Battle of Britain 1949

May 12, 2019

Scenario
• Battle of Britain... map of the arena area to be utilized is added below.
• Axis objective to close are many Allied air fields as possible.  Scoring closure priorities are in this order:  Fields, radar, Dover, ports and posts.
• Allied objective to protect all Allied assets.  Scoring protection priorities are in this order:  airfields, radar, Dover, ports and posts.
• Bonus points will be awarded for historic use missions and scoring balance necessities
◦ Stuka attacks that close radar stations will be awarded a bonus
◦ Swordfish attacks that sink a ship will be awarded bonus points
◦ Closure of Dover will be a bonus point situtation
◦ To balance scoring opportunity differential created by more allied bases that axis, Allied will receive a bonus for all Allied air fields attacked and protected (not allowed to close)
Game Rules
• Basic game rules as used will be the same regarding, number of allowed deaths, kills, teleporting, etc.
• The major difference is that each new frame will have a new scenario and each team will switch sides.
◦ Teams will be identified by assigned colors and not Axis/Allied for scoring purposes.
◦ Teams that are traditionally side specific will be asked to switch normal affiliations when necessary in a side switch.
◦ Bomber specific squads (only Doolittle's now) will always be assigned to the side that has a primary offensive posture, and therefore, may or may not switch sides with each new frame.  Side balance will be adjusted accordingly when this is necessary.
◦ Bonus scoring opportunities will be scenario specific and announced in the week prior to the frame.

I take it the scoring area is 3.9 to 6.8 in the North to 10.6 to 12.6 to 12.1 in the south with the diagonal line west passing through all of the x points (i.e.4.8., 5.7.x, etc.) and the East side runs just north and east of the x points in Germany to 7.11.x in England.

Just need to know where each team starts.

Thank you for stopping Dover (F1) from being an airfield as it was in previous BoB frames.
