S3 Series

I haven't seen where we have been tracking Lady Luck requests since moving to the new forum. Are we still able to take a LL every three series for those of us who die a lot?

Once I get the info from Jabo, I will be fielding requests, 1 series at a time so I don't get confused. There will be 3 weeks to get the Lady Lucks in, so no panic once it starts again.

You can use a Lady Luck once every 3 series (once for each cup/badge trio). A LL will remove one death from your record for the purposes of scoring individual medals and squad cups/badges. The fundamental qualification for an individual medal is surviving a series, so if you only have one death in a series, a LL lets you remove that from your record. Call it a mulligan for brain cramps like oh say, gloating for 1/2 a sec over skuzzr's death in the buffer and getting shredded by his wingie.

A LL does not change your permanent S6 stats only the scoring spreadsheet beaver uses for individual/squad scores. Even if you have more than one death in a series the LL can still be useful for improving your squad score, though you aren't eligible for an individual medal.

I would like a LL for Frame two of TWF please. I was taken out by a rogue wave just off the coast.

Dobs, Dazed we get to use a Lady Luck to remove one death from one frame during each series of three events for awards purposes. If you have a good series but die once you can use that LL and still receive an award. This can be done only once over the span of three events. The latest series of three was OCL, TS and TWF, I believe. Hope this helps.

Personally, I always think of it like this... the mantra is "One Life to Live". Lady Luck gives forgiveness, ONCE in specific sets of FIFTEEN FRAMES. IF you only die ONCE in fifteen frames, she can help you for an award. If you die more often than that, you don't need to know the particulars as your S6 Score is not altered by Lady Luck at all. For those who don't follow Medals, Cups, and Badges closely, roughly 22 out of 250 pilots qualify for any type of award in any group of fifteen frames.

Since I got PK'd by the opening burst from a post 50 cal in frame 1 of TWF, I'd like to request a LL for that:)
