This S3 for me was pretty much a wash. Not complaining , just stateing.
I discoed aprox two time per weekend. Or maybe shouldn't call it a disco. I need help on this one.

History: This began about the time of the new main frame turnover and up till recient thought related.

THE EVENT: What happens Is
I fly just about 50 minutes and
( screen goes black )
(Airplane sounds continue )
( unable to log out key board settings are jambed)
ESC, shift alt delete , delete or windows buttons all inop. Only way to shut computer down is cut power at the wall connection.

I thought it was excussive to S3 arena or maybe numbers around my vidio card putting in a loaded condition but tested today in S3 arena with just me in there.
Aprox 50 minutes in flight the event happened.
I then went into the main. Thinking maybe I just don't ever fly long enough in main to kick this off. Maybe its time related.
Aprox 50 minutes in flight the event happened.

This tells me a couple things. 1) it is time related. 2) is not overheat related. my vidio card would have kicked out earlier having just flow an hour on second flight . 3) fan seems to be working fine throughout all this. 4) Its not arena specific, same results in both main and S3.

ANY SUGGESTIONS TO WHATS GOING ON. I know there are several of you very knowledgable techies out there and the answer is probably simple.
Stumped: Is it vidio card (timing out?) . Or something else with WB interface . or something different still like WB settings either on their or my end?

IF IT HELPS: Computer Personnal GM5478 / running windows vista / Processor - intel core , 2 quad Q6600. Each core with 2,4 ghz, 2 x 4 cache, 1066 mgz fsb.
Memory 2048 MB DDR2 Dual channel memory
Vidio: this has been upgraded twice, first unit being factory defective according to Geek, Second had cooling fan go out,
Current one is three years old and has worked flawlessly having a fan fully twice as big as either other.
Is GeForce 9800GT 1GB GDDR3.
Screen: FHD video contrast 12,000,000:1 1920 x1080 resolution, 23 inch,

Bluzoo - check that all auto updates and checks for updates are disabled for windows, Mcafee, Norton, etc.

Any changes to configuration or software installed prior to this situation happening?

The only event before this happening was when WB changed its mainframe.

Never happened before that.

No new software or hardware added or taken away.

Its almost as if WB mainframe is tracking my lauched vehicle and timing it till deleting it maybe for system speed. I. E. after a certain run time canx the call sort of thing. The other thing that vexis me is why just the monitor picture and not the sound etc.. The plane must still be running in the vertual program although it dissappears to my flight mates in the areana screen when it does go. And then the part where it locks my keyboard controls. If a vidio card was going bad it surely wouldnt do that as well. Again sounds like maybe main frame interferance some how. ?!

Maybe just a coincidence and something got corrupted... I know it is a pain, but have you tried reinstalling WB's? Maybe a fresh load would help.

Maybe a new computer would help too! :) Jabo has a real nice one that he's not using to fly!

I searched for the thread and couldn't find it, but I seem to recall someone else having similar issues and it turned out to be a dying power supply.

Bluzoo, this was happening to me about 1.5 -2 years ago , I am really trying to recall what it was. Recheck the auto updates , sometimes these can get turned back on by accident. Any thing that checks for updates , Java, antivirus, windows, etc. Run antivirus, antimalware ,ahitman pro etc. make sure you dont have a trojan. These things can intterupt and be very hard to detect.

I'm 99.99999% sure this has NOTHING to do with the Warbirds server, which BTW is not a mainframe. You have my phone #? if so, call me.
