I've see no info posted yet about it but I know that for frame 2-3 it has been decided that the Axis should be allowed:
2x A6M2
1x Ki-27b

This since the A6M was the main fighter of the Japanese air force in the Port Moresby battles, not the Ki-27.

Cheers!

And what about only a handful of B-17's, B-24's and P-38's, since they we're like hens teeth at that time in the Pacific?

yamon,

Yes, I am considering allowing a few P-38s and Ki-43s to be placed on a few fields as a transition between frames 3 and 4. Gen George Kenney's, SWPA commander of all Air Force units deployed in the Southwest Pacific, memoirs Air War in the Pacific, he stated that the P-38s were slowly being shipped for use in SWPA but required modifications, lack of replacement parts, etc. slowed the process of implementation to all unit in fall of '42. However, buy the end of the year the P-38 was becoming the dominant plane for USAA in New Guinea.

If checking the aircraft table then it shows that both P-38F, P-38G, Ki-43, Ki-44, A6M3, B-17, B-24 & G4M2 etc are coming available for frame 4-5 :).

Enabling the P-38F and Ki-43 for frame 3 might also be nice as a transition to frame 4-5.

Of the numbers of aircraft (fighters and bombers); what percentage of them were P-39's, P-400's, P-40's,P-38's, B-24's, and B-17's. That percentage should be used for the S3's. Same for the number of Ki-44's etc. on the Axis side.

Just my thoughts and IMHO.
