Significant changes to the tactical situation. In the north the crushing numerical superiority of the Allied Air Armadas allowed Anderson's 1st British Army to make amazing gains, reaching the north east coast of Tunisia and isolating the airfield at Bizerte (F4). An attack by 3 Commando British Paras, supported by the SBS, threatend the airfield at Kelibia (F8), but were held back at the small outpost at Mennzel (F9).
In the south, a different story. Generalissimo Messe's 1st Italian army, with support of Kesselring's LW, stung the vaunted 8th British Army and drove them back towards the Libyan frontier, recapturing airfields at Kairouan(F20) and Djemma (F94). Armin too, had his success, although a lesser one of capturing and holding onto the airfield at Ojabel (F95) and its radar installations.
