Post subject:  Rule 13 Safe Ditches

According to:

13. Safe Ditch - if you run off the field and ditch within 10 miles(52800ft) of the tower the ditch is NOT awarded a kill. It is assumed that aircraft and pilot can be salvaged.

During Frame 1, I had an elevator shot off my 109 and managed to ditch less than 4 miles from F52, but a kill was awarded.

.
Can I get this corrected?

Thanks

Have to look but there is a safeditch parameter ( 1 or 2) and also a distance, perhaps in sdots, at bottom of sysvars page ( .show)....

jlordj,

I have yet to get last night's log and once I have it I can make that update. Please remember to check your records also to see that it gets done. I don't get mad it you remind me ....

=vslp=,
Thanks for that and I will check the sysvars to see if we have an issue there. I will get back to you if I can't resolve it. :) I downloaded them today and make a hard copy so I can check the current S3 sysvar without needing to always go to .show. I realize they can be changed but because I have the original, this will give me something to check if that happens.

Thank you kaceyj and =vslp=.

I don't know what caused the glitch in my case. Earlier in the frame, I did see an enemy plane ditch over the water near the 10 mile limit. Todzla caused an engine fire on a Hurricane, and the pilot was able to safely ditch in the channel. So, I think the proper safeditch parameter and distance were properly set, at least during the beginning of the frame. Unknown if this was changed later when I ditched.
