The Luftwaffe concentrated on the exposed allied airfields hitting them time and again from all different directions. Allied intruders switched from Mossies to P51s and concentrated on the Ju52s flying supplied deep inside Germany, shooting down 11. German fighters did the same to the Allied air transport routes also sending 11 C47s down in flames. A large group of Ju88s came down south as the ALlies were forming their deep raid over France, they quickly took out L19 and M24 but suffered accordingly to the nearby Allied escorts. Following this success small groups of 190s hit the various forward airfields and bridges taking down 4 bridge spans and destroying at least 25 allied fighters on the ground. Both Tac 35 and 36 airfields were ruled closed.
The allied bomber group made a long route all the way to Big B, dodging the main flak concentrations there and back and destroying L94 just northeast of Berlin. Probably the longest mission possible and due to a very organized escort plan the bombers only lost one ship to direct enemy action.
First frame the Luftwaffe won and they closed the gap considerably but the Allies still lead 443 to 398 going into the final frame next Sunday after the Superbowl.
Notes
1. AI flak seem more realistic this frame but there was a limit on how many AI could be loaded at one time so they had to be turned off and on as fights passed them by.
2. Still some problems with the bridge spans, 15 direct hits with 250kgs and they should have eaah gone down to 2 each. Will confirm the proper object file was loaded.
