3 parts...was too long for youtube..had to break it up.

Crazy, fun mission. LW with alt on escort was not a fun experience...ok maybe it was...certainly exciting:)

One more video to upload..not sure why it didn't complete....will check when I get home.
Just a dance of the sugar plum fairies with high 109s who were reluctant partners and never came down in earnest.

LOL Dobs. "never came down in earnest"......translation: not willing to be easy hamburger for the 352nd meatgrinder. As long as you boys grossly outnumber most squads get used to the idea of small squads nibbling you ONLY when conditions favour it. It's a point of honour in the S3 to survive as well as shoot down the enemy. Going out in a very short blaze of glory againt the 352nd in the S3 is not my idea of a good use of a premium cost Warbirds account. Now the main arena, on the other hand, is an entirely different story.

Regardless of the foregoing, I have to say these videos are outstanding in every respect. Listening to your Teamspeak chatter hugely enhances the vid and really puts the viewer in the cockpit. What you are doing should instill excitement into anyone who watches it and make them want to come join the Warbirds community. More pilots means more fun for everyone. Thank you.

LOL..the one video which didn't make it is what I reference..

It was at end of frame last 25 minutes or so...3 or 4 109s with 4k alt on 3 51s...sorry if you mistook it for the vids I posted.

I'll post it tonight....think I may have labeled the "dance of the sugarplum faireis" as we went round and round up and down:)

But thanks for the feedback on the vids. That is my intent....well actually twofold...one is to try to get new players in, the other is to let the rest of the community see what goes on behind the "green curtain" of the 352nd...just solid organization, and excellent teamwork.

But yes, being too big is a concern of ours....and for the game. FWIW, Todzilla has been referring applicants to other squads for quite some time now. Not being an elitist, but trying to keep squad numbers from being grossly out of balance.

<S>! And feel free to share these vids out on any social network page you may be part of. Warbirds facebook page can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/WarbirdsTotalSims

You have G "Todzilla's my bitch" Flyer on your side, you'll be fine. ;)

I know the Main is a dweebfest more often than not, but that is where you pick up new blood and there has been a lot of it lately. Some pretty decent sticks too. Would love to see you guys and the rest of the S3 squads/groups grow. Like Dobs said, we've been referring new recruits elsewhere and would love to see all the S3 groups with ~18 pilots.

The missing vids: Not very exciting, but you can see the cat and mouse games played in the S3 vs the do or die "main arena" attitude most are used to! <S>

Actually, the 3 surviving members of The Haze constituted the entire Luftwaffe at that point. You were engaged by Trigr, Phenix, and Gflyer in 109k's. I was on the DAR after being unceremoniously blown to smithereens by Yobtee (nice kill btw....never even saw you). We lost Rock and Kapsyl in that fight as well. The 109k is a fast BnZ plane that doesn't do all that well in TnB fights. We always try to take the plane's strengths into account for every fight. That's why the 'dance' ensued. With Rock and I on the DAR we were able to coordinate selected attacks on targets that had separated from the rest of your group which gave us a momentary numbers advantage before the rest of you could respond. Great plan but all we achieved were pings....no kills. S! to your flying skills and comms awareness. Overall, Haze went 3 kills for 3 losses on the Frame. Not great but not bad for 6 pilots.

S! Tod for your willingness to channel new pilots to other squads to even things out for Warbirds. Your efforts speak to the cameraderie of the Warbirds community. We all want the same thing....plenty of planes to fight. I was around when The Haze fielded 18 pilots for an S3. Those were heady days indeed and I look forward to the day when every squad can field that many.

And you're right Tod. Gflyer is a very welcome addition to The Haze.

Oh I'm not knocking you guys....just said you were reluctant partners:) I would have done the same thing...good work on dar...we kept trying to get someone out to get Alt, but you denied that:) Strong group of three to have though:) Would have been a great fight with Epic and Vultch with me if it ever came to that:) Was great job all night by 109s keeping high....

Here is hoping to a return of numbers...going to be some effort required by all players to "help" the newbies out since we suffer from a plethera of high time pilots in the arena which leads to merciless clubbing at times. Welcome them, help them, send them trainers way at a minimum:)

Cheers!

RCAF 417 knows the lows, currently 3 active members, but at one time we fielded 15-25 players in every frame. Of course, our policy on Canadians (or ex-pat Canucks), keeps the numbers low, but in looking at our numbers in the S3 we have had, at one time or another 30+ pilots in our squad. If you find any Canucks, please send them our way :)

S! Beaver. Would be great if the janitors could give us a nationality breakdown of our Warbirds population. They could get that info from the player accounts. It's not necessary to identify everyone. I suspect there are a fair number of Canadians given the timeframe that our S3 operates. I'm from Edmonton myself but Haze is my home in Warbirds. One of our Haze members is in Northern Europe and gets up in the very wee hrs to fly with us every Sunday. He then gets things ready and goes to work. Makes for a long Monday for him and we appreciate his efforts.
