S3#107 - Big Week - ETO Feb 1944

Big Week or Operation Argument was a plan by the USAAF to force the defending Luftwaffe into a decisive battle by attacking their aircraft industries. They were confident in the ability of their growing fighter arm, many now converting to the new Mustangs. The Luftwaffe had withdrawn almost all their forward fighter units back into Germany to protect their vital factories. After Schweinfurt they made bomber destruction a priory, up-gunning their fighters and introducing more twin-engine destroyer units.

This series will highlight the classic bombers into Germany event. To keep the numbers of bombers up and the fight going all night deep into Germany a new airstart system will be in effect. Events are now unlocked so those wishing to interact with S3 squadrons may do so. Information will be provided to interested players at login. Come see what the we are all about.

This event features the revised ETO in the S3 Arena at 8:30PM Eastern/5:30 PM Pacific.

Passwords sent out Jan 8. Arena setup for testing, new update out with revised FMs and added skins.

Just tried to enter the S3 arena. Was asked to do an update...clicked ok and I get a message saying "manifest.txt" file not on the server. Thought you might want to know. I'm on a Mac fwiw.

Ok, I forgot to use Chrome for the S3 site. Links work fine in it.

Just tried to update WB again and get the same result unfortunately. Hopefully other mac users will try and chime in.

~S~ I ran the updater.

First attempt - crash immediately

Second attempt - crash with 11.2mb remaining

Third attempt - asking if I wanted to continue the download of the aforementioned 11.2mb, I clicked continue. It finished.

Rolled in the S3 arena without issues.

And BTW, Split - that was an OUTSTANDING sortie we flew a few nights back. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Had to do a fresh install. All seems good now.

Issue with point summary table. 109G6/R6 is listed twice with different point values, 1.5 and 1.0 points.

If a 109G6/R6 is lost does that score 2.5 points for the Allies?
