Sounds like a helluva lot of fun along with a big pile of cash, but probably worth it.

This program is using the B17-G "909". The first time I saw it was the day it crashed at our local County airport. Wikipedia doesn't tell the whole story about what happened. The pilot was a real WWII B17 pilot in his 70's. He came in hot, there was some crosswinds but not bad, didn't get down until halfway down the strip as one wing didn't want to come down. He could have so easily just bolted and come around again. Of course what do we know, we weren't in the plane. Got to watch it's repairs on occasion. And finally saw it depart for further work in Florida.
