Frame 4 saw the Allies repeat what worked in Frame 3. A med altitude heavily escorted B25 attack along the NW coastline of France hit anchored shipping and the Le Touquet region. Fierce fights between escorting Spitfires and mainly 109 interceptors followed the bombers into the coastline and out. Losses to interceptors was particularly high and when the return sortied of the B25s came there was much fewer Luftwaffe to distrupt the attacks on Festung Boulogne. Here more ships were caught at anchor and a couple of B25s turned from the main group to finish off targets at Le Touquet. Allied mission success was 8 for 8 with the concentrated targets in between Boulogne and Touquet allowing gang attacks on several targets. Luftwaffe losses were higher this frame 18 fighters claimed by the Allies for Allied losses of 22, 7 of which were B25s.
Allies won their second frame and lead the series 353 to 323 going into the final frame.
Radar at 72 is down and all hit targets off the list indicated on the game map and planning list. The majority of coastal targets have been hit and remaining targets more spread out from each other. Luftwaffe pilots have yet to hit England and may have to, to pull off a victory. Reports of a new and improved FW190 series being developed in Germany have surfaced but they may be too late for the final battle.
