S3#104 - Special Operations France - Spring 1944 http://www.squadselectseries.com The Britain the buildup to invasion is in full swing as the fifth year of the war begins. The RAF has tasked several of its commands with a series of special operations to locate and destroy important pre-invasion targets with precision attacks. Fast low-level intruders must sneak in under noses of the few remaining units of the Luftwaffe still based in France. This series will highlight the classic Spitfire IXE and Bf109G6 matchup. The Typhoon and FW190 will play a secondary role with the RAF using its tried and true Mossie Intruder. This event features the revised Channel1944 terrain and starts Apr 23rd in the S3 Arena at 8:30PM Eastern/5:30 PM Pacific. Sides and rides are up but rules still being worked on. Map indicates all the special operation locations, cataloging them takes some time. Rules and emails out by Easter Sunday. Basically the RAF must sneak in and hit their spec ops targets while the Luftwaffe can choose to defend and/or launch some of their own. Last series of the year. |

"dot privatearena s3" has been available all week  Enter ".privatearena s3" in the radio buffer prior to hitting the Play Online button. You will find the S3 Arena the only available log-in option. |

I entered the S3 arena using the privatearena deal last night, however I died in the last frame and lives were not reset so I couldn't fly. |

Just so it doesn't go unmentioned.... We don't often see this particular terrain. Hats off to the Janitor Corps. for bringing back a graphically interesting background for lots of "special targets" which populate this particular terrain. <S>
