http://www.squadselectseries.com - new map and summary up

Intense air combat pretty much the entire frame with the British Commonwealth forces pounding in the centre and north and the Axis turning the enemy flank and taking on his isolated airbases in the south. The majority of Allied aircraft were B25s and Hurricanes this frame and they started off first in the south hitting panzers south of El Cuasc, destroying 16. Italian MC200s continue to have problems with service so the Hurribombers initially had a free go of it. Next in were Boston bombers that had formed over the Med and came in to hit Gambut airfield(M61) hard. They then landed at at front line strip near Sollum and later upped and then closed the important medium field. Axis cover in the north was limited as there main bomber force with escort had formed and swept in out of the desert to close Jaghbub(F26) airfield deep in the south flank. Meanwhile a second B25 force timed their attack perfectly hitting the centre with P40 escort and taking down two of the MC200 fields(F6, F7) near Fort Maddelena. But the Axis Ju88s were not done yet and continued on to close the airfield at Siwa Oasis(F27) and the last Hurricane field in the south(F10). While their escorting 109s jumped all over the B25s hitting their centre to the north the German bombers took out 13 British tanks. Ju88s losses were moderate with 9 going down to defending Hurricanes. Losses had been particularily heavy for the Allied Bostons, 48 going down to 109s during the night with their gunners claiming 10 of the German fighters. But undaunted they returned to the crucial central region and closed Bir el Gubi(F21) late in the day. Axis attacks were confined to the south except for a lone Ju88 that stalked and torpedoed two supply freighters off Mersa Matruth.

The days action saw the British move closer to Tobruk while the German panzers continued to move in a wide flanking movement in the south. S22 and G7(Hurris only) are now in WDAF hands and operational for Frame 4. S26, G8(MC200s only) and G9(MC200s only) are in Axis hands and operational.

Axis won Frame 3 but pilot losses and BDA are still to be counted. Allies scored more BDA so the score will be closer once this is added in. Axis take the lead in the series mainly due to the heavy losses of bombers the Allies suffered in Frame 3.

Good Luck in Frame 4.

Notes - arena will be left open even if its rebooted. I apologize for the guys that wanted to practice but couldnt get in until late in the week.

I looked at the map you have linked but it doesn't look like it reflects you word picture of frame 3 results.

Ahh...this isn't the proper map for Frame 4? Looks like the "word picture" to me. (Dependent on individual settings, sometimes a "screen refresh" does wonderful things)

Happy trails...
