I don't speak from any actual knowledge about code or historical accuracy so take it with a grain of salt.

Just asking out loud here... took 5 bursts from a typhoon's 20mm to bring one down.
I am not the greatest marxman so I cant say I hit anything vital but I was expecting something like a V1 to come down with very few hits on it, especially 20mm. It was my expectation that the V-1s should have the same fragility as a P-38 tail section... gust of wind knocks it off... :)

seriously though, I would think the energy absorbed by the V1 when being struck with 20mm cannon shells would cause major structural damage rather than just point of impact damage. From the looks of pictures it doesn't seem that there is anything on the V-1 other than vital components.

Just food for thought

Thanks!

V1 gyroscope just needed to be altered enough for it to disengage from it's pre determined flight path and it would tumble to earth. Not sure if that is taken into consideration with getting hit by a 20mm.
I heard of stories where allied pilots would fly up next to them and tip it over from a wing tip to wing tip bump. Collision bubble in WB would prevent that I believe. Would be cool if that could be done though.
Even though I'm flying Axis this series. That type of engagement always interested me.

Well... unfortunately due to WB code..the V1 is considered an "AI". That is why it does a little evasion attempt...but it's been dumbed down enough you can hit them.

The buzz bomb is also made of sheet steel instead of aluminum so it is a little more durable.

Our original plan was to make it all pilot hit boxes so it would explode like in the main. However it's an AI and AI don't explode....Grrr...

So it is what it is until we can get some spindz time to rework the code.
