Couple more screens of the V1 ski launching sites

All should be ready for deployment end of May. S3 begins on June 5th.

22 May would be nice, 29 May should be a "drop dead" date for release. Flying a S3 Event on a map none of the pilots has ever seen before is "tough".

I foresee the weather being bad and this being pushed to June 6th.

JABO:
Planning Map
Please advise what, if anything, the current planning map and score box from a previous Series is trying to tell us. Is it somehow indicative that we will be using a ETO map? Do the "closed" and "star" symbols indicate anything? Is it a "place holder" for a map to be named later?

Jabo and I have been working closely to develop the Channel1944 terrain. He has done all the heavy lifting placing objects, I just did the research. Channel1944 is a stop gap until I get my work finished on Normandy (probably not before the fall).

Channel1944 is based on the Blitz terrain and not the ETO. Note the link Jabo posted on the iEN boards is broken. Not sure what pdf you downloaded, but there are no stars or closed field symbols in the Channel1944v1.pdf
[Edit] Ah, I see you were looking at the map link posted on the S3 site. Obviously the wrong map! Jabo will need to fix that.[/edit]

Link to a Beta version of the planning map. Details may still change. Just something you give you a feel:
Channel1944

Cheers

Rules and sides not up yet. So many S3s with similar capitals. This will be OCB, Operation Crossbow. Just working on the final testing of the terrain this week. Fields will be as seen in the planning map. Allies will need to close down the V1 sites and shoot down V1s. Germans just need to keep them flying toward London. Checking numbers and turnouts before finalizing sides. Luftwaffe will be outnumbered to reflect this time period.

A relatively quick terrain such as this would not have been possible without Muzz Research. The actual research takes almost as long as the terrain building.

Added the OCBmap to the front page. Only link that works for now for the series. Its the same as the planning map and will soon have event specific items. Muzz is working on his dds for the terrain as well.
