Salute! Horrido! Bansai!

Adding to the current "ditch" bug, we also have a "DTF bug". But more! The special buff login from last two months was not there last week and for frame 3 of current series.

I appreciate all the hard work to try to "improve" our experience, but lately seems like we are getting "downgrades".

- How come the ditch can''t be "successful, but captured", or "successful, and 'may' fly again"?
I realize that buffs ditching next to a carrier can't fly again, but least they would not count as a "kill" and all that stuff. Ditto for ditching at a field that has none of your planes. Seems that the basic code we already have that says " there are no buffs/ponies/etc at this field" could be used to determine the situation.

- All the critter movement/field status and such on the terrain, or maybe all those "greeting" messages seem to be ruining aout player DTF files. Last two frames our DTF map files go away after a few seconds. This seems to be related to the field status blinking circles when a field is contested. Could be when the CM uses the "mapclear" command in a recurring file that it wipes out the player map stuff. Might also be those irritating "welcome" doofers we are getting in the buffer, but seems unlikely.

Not like the "pride of authorship" that we see with the FM coders, the player DTF's for buffs and others are simply wasted, and not just a PITA like the "new, realistic FM's".

- The special "buff login" option was not operational last week or for Frame 3. Not a real big deal, but we had to revert to our older "command line in buffer" stuff.

We either have one or the other, huh? And besides, we don't have that special buff login on other arenas or offline or....

Gums whines....
