Losses were again relatively minor, with only one player TBD being claimed as a kill. The air to air fight was fierce with 27 confirmed kills for the US and 24 for the IJN. An additional 17 US a/c were lost to all causes and 4 IJN. Carrier landings and take-offs probably account for the difference. The US won the final frame 126 to 98.
Overall the USN won the series but it was close 426 to 409. Both sides won two frames each but the large US victory in frame 2 was the difference.
Between the side switching squads the score was equally close with Team Able(Lft 6, RCAF 127,100th/AE, 475th) winning with 430 points over Team Baker's(4th, 23rd, 352nd) 404 points.
Both teams had almost identical scores playing as the IJN with Team Able getting slightly higher scores playing as the USN.
New Terrain and side switching series that seemed to work well. Best way to try historically uneven matchups and series where one side does all the attacking. Please post any terrain issues in the IEN or S3 Terrain forums.
Thanks for trying something different.
