The Musashi was one of a trio of the biggest battleships built by Japan during WWII and was sank on October 24, 1944 at the height of the Battle of Leyte Gulf.

Very cool! After so many searches (the location where it sank was never accurately documented) I hope this is the real deal. Capital ships had the chrysanthemum on the bow so it's likely he has found it. A picture of one of those mighty 18.1" shells would clinch it for sure! :mrgreen:
