Don't know how many of you lurk the WB General forum, but it sounds like an old friend is trying to get a hold of you guys...<S>...

My father used to play this game. He died on July 8th, 1999. From what I can piece together and remember, his squad was 417 and his call sign was Badger. His name was Rick Beach and he was from Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada. Some of you came from all over the world to his funeral and I can't express how much that meant to me and my family. I have recently found some of his memorability and I am trying to trace down a little of who he was and who he played with online. He loved playing this game and talked about his squad frequently. Are you still around and playing? I played a little with him but was unfortunately too young to really appreciate it. I would like to change that, so if there is anyone still online here that used to play with him please reach out to me. I would LOVE to share memories and discuss. Such a great man!

Cheers,
Jeff.

Zikker, have copied 417 your message, name sounds familiar, but after so many years and many many liquid beverages my mind is not what it used to be.

Long ago 401 and 417 had a strong but friendly rivalry who was the first Canadian squadron. We have lots of squad matches. I remember badger and I am sure he shot me down more than a few times. Both squads had some good sticks back then. Remember the no icons arena and some hair raising fights on the deck, Spitfires vs Spitfires.

I remember Badger well. He was always a good stick and a great guy.

One evening after his death, we did a volcano run in his honour. Everyone in the entire MA stopped fighting and joined us in his memory.

I have lost my password and name for the WB General Forum and my email asking for the info came back as undeliverable. Any help for this?

I just pinged Dobs who administers the iEN board with this request.

Hi Dawger, good idea, I will make a note to check it at least once a week (maybe even when I am on vacation). Thanks for sending it to Dobs. :)

Dobs, I got your private mail and I am up and running since yesterday. :)
