I got a disco last night too. It was a message net lag celing exceeded. Something I have never seen before. TS remained connected.

Just wait til you have a kill and 2 assists under your belt and your flying home with no cons near with 1 ping on your plane. Absolutely ridiculous and shouldn't happen. This is something in the game that's happening and it needs to be addressed asap. I lost a perfect frame because of it and I shouldn't have. Btw my TS never went down and my connection was great at the time so it wasn't me.

I haven't flown much in the past few months, but recently as I've gotten back in I've noticed more laggy behavior than usual. In non US times I see warps when there are only a few players around when before that was rare and a lot more jerkiness in fights. More packets than normal seem to be getting lost.

Yep, this is exactly what happened to me last week. I never have disco problems at all and I think this is game related, not something on my end/connection. This needs to be looked into and pronto. DeWolf, what were the circumstances when you were in the air and this happened? Were you around a large group of planes at the time?

Altitude was about 500' on lift-off to join the rest of the Squad. Only one other aircraft in the area, and it was not on the screen at the time. Screen composition was mainly sky.

BTW, I bought a new DSL Modem/Router on Saturday and DID NOT install it to make sure that at least the system I had would allow me to log-in for the S3. Changed out the old DSL modem and almost new NetGear router for the new DSL modem/router from the wonderful folks at the Phone Mart. Log-in on Monday night and got two sorties in the Main prior to another black screen DISCO! 4 players were in flight in the entire Arena at the time.

I just experienced the same "net lag exceeded" in the MA today, pooched a perfect bomb run  I thought I had a screenshot but it didn't save. I never disco, and rarely get called for warping, on the whole connection from my end is solid. Curse the internets!

On second thoughts, I must note that my internet service has been known to occasionally drop for brief periods of time. There is a known but "unsolvable" infrastructure problem in my neck of the woods.

Perhaps warbirds has reduced its net lag ceiling in an effort to disco terribly warpy players (to satisfy main arena complaints). Not to start crazy rumors or anything but i do recall hearing something about this in warbirds forum.

Oledkk looks pretty smooth to me when we meet in the main. You can see in the video's I throw up on youtube, that he doesn't look warpy at all. So if he is experiencing a rash of disco's either something in his connection chain has gone sour, or something has been changed on the ISP side. I know wolf is about to pull his hair out with his disco's....so its not an isolated person. Maybe if people can post geographic locations, we can find a common denominator at fault?

Good idea. All it takes is one flaky router or switch along the way. I have had issues with lag and variance in the past caused by ISP equipment that only really showed up while on Warbirds. If you get different pingtimes from packet to packet it can cause major warps.
