I just got my email from Roan at 9:20 pm. It took over an hour to get here, I could drive to his place in less time than that

Just a mention while there is time. From the data I have.

190's began entering russian area in late 1942. Would have been -5 and earlier types.

LA5-FN first unit combat was october 1943. Giap 2.

Hope this helps.

Couple questions:

1. Do we get points for destroying GV convoys?
In rules I saw points for tank kills if all 8 in group destroyed in one night. There was no mention of points for truck convoy kills. Maybe this was oversight, thus the question.
Experience in Tunisia S3 was fighters were ineffective against tanks. Note: especialy the types we have this S3 will be so as ordinance loads are much lighter.
However we found we were effective against truck convoys. I note there are truck convoys in this crimea S3 map. However if no points can be gleened it would be usless to attack them.

2. How much damage does it take to destroy a truck, M16, tank (GV) in this S3.
Is there a reference to strength of GV's or especialy tanks somewhere. I found reference to our bomb strength, gun strength. Also how much damage any ship or building or ack is able to with stand but nothing on GV/tanks. Our fighters carry bombs but they are of a light variaty, and our guns though pretty large have limited ammo so we have to choose carefully what ground units we can attack.

We are figuring on using the first 30% of ammo destroying the 352nd so it limits us to 70% for these ground targets. :o

Just checking as the next frame is listed at November 23rd; that's a Saturday. There isn't a special "early" frame for Thanksgiving or something is there?

Sorry typo on that 23rd it should read the 24th. US Thanksgiving is off the week after.

I have attached a scoring system to the PDF and under the main site summary. Will update after each frame but it shows the scoring for both sides if they close fields and destroy AI and shoot down e/a.

Did some testing with the AI GVs before this series and you can destroy a tank with a 250kg bomb with a near miss. 50kg bombs take several direct hits. Near miss is within two tank lengths away. Farther away and you can take off a track etc. Last time we used AI tanks in the desert they were a bit harder to kill, direct hits with a big bomb was the only way.

Static tanks are classed as weapons and take 850 pts to kill, static trucks are classed as carriers and take 200 pts to kill. Truck and tank units are viable targets in this terrain as they are all classed as fields for closure.
Hope that helps.
