Nope, not a wing. Seems to have been a part (aileron or vator) falling off the bomber that =dobs= damaged. Could explain why the buff seemed to veer straight up into =dobs=' tail while he tried to pass over it.

On his run up it is clearly a formation of 3 so he didn't hit another plane, however it does indeed look like something suddenly rendered below and behind the craft. Rudder falling off maybe? Parts are always rendering way late.

Swanee and Gflyer - I saw the fight below me but was 0/0 after splashing 3 stukas minutes before. I was in place and was ready for a clearing boom and zoom on your exfil but couldn't get down and dirty with no ammo. Was no fun to watch Gflyer go down.

It was bomber flaps...bomber didn't move...as you could tell by my normal pull off I was not concerned in the least that I was going to hit the bomber. Ah well...just a shitty way to end an S3...one sided collision at that.

This video covers the whole attack on the bomber group, and some skirmishes just N of Malta late frame. Sorry about the echo in a big part of the video, don't know where it comes from.

That was painful to watch.. Approached that bomber in smooth rapid fashion Back in from its flank in a perfect right quartering attack and COLLISION.

Thanks for showing me the error of my ways Robert. Witnessed my death. Sure made a nice fireball going down. Think was crommm on my wing following me through. Ozzone had lost me just a bit sooner.

As usual your video's are top notch. Boy you got a lot of action.
