S3#84 – Operation Clarion; Northern Germany - February 1945
On Feb 22, 1945 a massive attack on the German transport network, communications and airfields by Allied air forces began. Operation Clarion would send thousands of bombers and fighters into the heart of Germany many at low levels strafing and bombing difficult operational targets. Luftwaffe fighters would scramble to maintain their dwindling numbers and airfields. Highest in priority were the vulnerable Me262 airbases in the north central region of the Fatherland. The stage is set for the classic late war ETO showdown.
An operational series with the more numerous Allies pounding away at the enemy main airfields while the Luftwaffe defends hard and uses its Me262s to strike back at Allied airfields, bridges and ports in France.
Series starts Sunday Jan 5 at 830pm Eastern\530pm Pacific in the ETO terrain S3 arena.
Emails out soon.
