http://www.squadselectseries.comFrame 2 saw the US ready for the IJN second wave, they put most of their fighter support at F2, F12 and over Pearl itself. So after the initial zero sweep pushed down the CAP at F2 and F12 they were fortunate enough to still have a large force ready over Pearl to meet the first assault wave of Kates escorted by zeros. Damage was reported and several already damaged battleships sent to the bottom. Losses to the kate strike force was relatively heavy.
After the main attack smaller groups of kates and heavy zeros hit and closed 5 locations including the important airfield at F2. The fight was more even this frame and it was a task for the escorting zeros to keep intercepting USAAF and USN fighters from finding the slow kates.
The US claimed 40 e/a shotdown while the IJN claimed 19 during the frame.
The US lead the night 128 to 115 points. AI a/c continue to be difficult to score as their damage does not show up in the log.
After 2 frames Team Able has 288 to Team Baker's 259.
Frame 3 begins after the side switch with The Surprise Attack Frame.
