Allied aircraft capped their carrier Task Force waiting for a bomber attack that never came. But J2Ms were loaded for bear and met the B29s when they appeared on radar coming into the Nagoya area of central Japan. In a running fight into and out of the area Japanese fighters were able to down 13 B29s(4 Human, 9 AI) while losing 7 to the 50 cals of the giant US bombers. A further 21 Japanese fighters were shot down by American escort fighters. Three P51s and two F4Us were shotdown protecting the USAAF bombers.
Both F139 and F51 were closed by bombers and late in the frame a small kamikaze attack was intercepted and shotdown near the US carriers. Seven G4M1s were sent flaming into the sea as the sun set over the pacific.
A close final frame with the Allies winning 127 to 121 to take the series. The difference was frame 4 where the Allies scored a large advantage in points despite loosing the first 3 frames.
