Frame 4 saw a complete reversal of Allied fortunes. After losing the first three frames they came back hard and scored enough points to take the lead.

Allied B29s were slow to assemble over Saipan and were only just arriving over the US Carrier Task Force after the defending F4U4s had mauled the initial Japanese torpedo runs shooting down 11 Betties at the cost of a CV slightly damaged from an aft torpedo hit. This put the USAAF bombers in a good position forcing the returning Japanese fighter escort to up quickly and try and get to 30,000ft to stop the inbound bombers. Escorting P47s were riding high as well and made attacks difficult for the J2Ms and Ki84s that manage to climb so high. Three B29s were shotdown but their gunners claimed 4 attacking fighters and the two groups of bombers went on to hit the important airfield at F136 and the nearby oil refinery on the coast. US fighters would later clean up the remaining targets and along with F145 closed earlier by a navy strike they scored significant points on these three locations.

The final Kamikaze attack was launched into the teeth of a defending fighter CAP and losses were again high and most of the G4M1s were intercepted well ahead of the carriers. A total of 21 Kamikazes were sent flaming into the sea.

The US continues to win the fighter war with claims of 26 Japanese fighters for a loss only 9 to enemy fighters.

The US pulls ahead of Japan with a resounding victory in Frame 4. US leads 683 to 549.

For Frame 5 the following players cannot fly the same aircraft they did in Frame 4. They were confirmed kills in Frame 4.

LOL, guess it was a choice between Super Bowl Sunday or Valentine's Day... Got my box of chocolates, but may be sleeping on the couch Sunday. :D
