Fortress of Fire, Germany Winter 1943 Luftwaffe Hidden Rules Gruppen - each gruppen of historical aircraft represents 3 steps of squad strength. Larger units may be broken up to different bases and different a/c.
Basing - a max of 5 steps per airfield to begin play. Please do not use the tactical fields as they are buggy and prone to ditches. Squads are divided up into Jadg Divisions and can use the a/c steps assigned to that division. Squads may replane anywhere after their initial launch but must not teleport. Bf109s - pilots that fly the Bf109G may switch between 109G2, 109G6 and 109G6/R6 between sorties depending on their mission requirements. Sturmgruppen - the latest FW190A8 has been added to II/JG302 and II/JG300 for attacks on USAAF bombers. High Altitude 109s - the latest Bf109G11/G14 has been added to I/JG27 for high altitude work. The Bf109K4 is subbing for these and we are testing the 30mm to see if it has improved. Jagd Division swap - to simulate the tactical switching of forces the frame CO may move the squads from one entire Jadg Division to another before T+30. The swap must not overstack airfields in the new Jagd Division and must use the available a/c types in that division. The squads in the Jagd Division to be moved cannot have launched before getting the order and must hold in the tower, switching fields at the command of the Frame CO.
