| S3 #49 - Duel Over Kent - Britain July-August 1940 RAF Hidden Rules
Frame 1 - map Points Scored = 8 pts losses + 2 pts missions + 2 pts spec ops = 12 points Situation Report - the Luftwaffe has been targeting our coastal convoys over the past few weeks and attempting to destroy our fighters in the air with superior numbers of 109s. We must protect these convoys and ports from attack but not get drawn into a deadly war of attrition with their fighters. Hit their bombers and stukas and get out. A build-up of invasion barges has been spotted in several mainland ports. These are a high priority target and must be hit hard. Bomber Command Raids - intel has reported invasion barges being built at Berck-sur-Mer(C81) and Boulonge-sur-Mer(F55). Both these ports must be bombed to hinder this construction.
Special operations - up to three of these may be conducted during the frame.
Frame 2 - map Points Scored = 6 pts losses + 2 pts missions + 2 pts intercept + 3 pts spec ops = 13 points Situation Report - the Luftwaffe has hit our RDF sites at Beachy Head(R78) and Bawdsey(R62) and they are offline. East Church(F19), Detling(F34) and Hawkinge(F18) airfields are undergoing repairs and cannot be used to base steps. Individuals may land their during a frame to refuel but no squad operations should be based there. The LW believe Lympne(F6) is down as well but this is not the case. Bomber Command hit the invasion fleet in France hard but took heavy losses. Pilots may be withdrawn from RAF Fighter Command to pilot bombers on these important missions. To do so you must exchange fighter steps for B25/TBD or Val steps. A step of Luftwaffe Do17s were destroyed at F8 and heavy losses in stukas make these a/c vulnerable to being withdrawn. Intel believes the Germans will continue to hammer at our perimeter airfields defending London and the skies of Kent. Bomber Command Raids - intel has reported invasion barges being built at Abbeville(F24) and Bourbourg(C4). Both these ports must be bombed to hinder this construction.

Frame 3 - map Points Scored = 6 pts losses + 1 pts missions + 2 pts intercept + 3 pts spec ops = 12 points Situation Report - the Luftwaffe has hit our RDF site at Poling(R65) and taken it offline but our other RDFs are back online. East Church(F19), Detling(F34) Manston(F32) and West Malling(F35) airfields are undergoing repairs and cannot be used to base steps. Individuals may land there during a frame to refuel but no squad operations should be based there. In the east of 11 Grp a unit of Ju88s was hard hit and they missed all their targets aborting the run in to Biggin Hill area. We recieved extra points for this decisive rebutal. German jabos were intercepted off Ipswich and mauled with only one DD being sunk in the area. On the down side our Big Wing was formed and had altitude on the enemy but got caught up in a Luftwaffe fighter sweep and were unable to hit the two following BGs with a combined force. Frame 4 - map Points Scored = 10 pts losses + 2 pts missions + 2 pts intercept + 2 pts spec ops = 16 points Situation Report - the Luftwaffe has hit our airfields once again hard. Kenley(F10), Rochford(F43) and Rochester(F33) are closed for squad operations but East Church(F19) has reopened and all our RDF sites are now fully operational. Our fighters hit the bomber raid attacking in the west hard and at the end of the day turned the return of He111s into a panic as they raced for home. Bomber Command hit the invasion fleet in France hard but took losses to our Blenheims. Pilots may be withdrawn from RAF Fighter Command to pilot bombers on these important missions. To do so you must exchange fighter steps for B25/TBD or Val steps. Intel believes the Germans will continue to hammer at our perimeter airfields defending London and the skies of Kent. Bomber Command Raids - intel reports invasion barges at Calais(C53) port and an operational RDF control at Wissant. These must be bomb and taken out.

Frame 5 - map Points Scored = 10 pts losses + 2 pts missions + 2 pts intercept + 3 pts spec ops = 17 points Situation Report - the Luftwaffe has hit our airfields once again hard. Hornchurch(F38) and Stradishall(F47) are closed but Manston(F32) has reopened. Our fighters got caught up in a massive wave of 109s escorting the first raid into the northern 12 Grp, some bombers fell but another bomber raid to the west came through without any escort and hit Hornchurch and Thameshaven. We did inflict significant losses on this raid as it fled out to sea but the northern raid came back behind them and was not intercepted. Low Ju88s swept right around London hitting two of our HQs and fled south out to sea before they could be caught. To do so you must exchange fighter steps for B25/TBD or Val steps. Bomber Command Raids - intel reports invasion barges once again assembling at Dunkirk and Bolougne, hit these areas hard to make this build-up slow.
